♥ March 23, 2008 — DACPAC (Dance Arts Centre's Performing Arts Company) just wound up their first competition of the season, and the results are phenomenal! If this is any indication of the rest of the year, then we are on the winner's path! Check out the Competition Results page for all the details. DACPAC Kicks-Off The Competition Season ♥ March 13, 2008 — Literally, our fabulous high-kicking dancers kicked off the competition season during the annual DACPAC Booster Club-sponsored Showcase! A night of fund-raising events and great entertainment featuring all 80-something members of DACPAC showed off 30 new dance numbers, including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater, Tap and the fabulous Production number, Georgia. Georgia is certain to "Wow" the judges this year, with the entire company dancing to a medley of Georgia-themed music. Great food was served, silent auctions and raffles raised money in support of our dancers, and a fantastic time was had by all. Our dancers got to perform their numbers in their new costumes and on a real stage for the first time, and our minis and new dancers found out what the DACPAC experience is all about! Many thanks to the dozens of Booster Club volunteers who helped make the DACPAC Showcase a great success! Only a Few Classes Still Available. Register Now! ♥ October 13, 2007 — HURRY! MANY CLASSES ARE FULL! But you still have time to register for this season. The registration form is online, so you can fill it out, print it and bring it with you to register. We urge you to call now to see if the class you want is still available. Please come by and try out a class at no charge. Remember that taking more than one class hour per week is your best value... tuition is paid on a reduced scale for more than 1 hour, so 2 classes per week is only slightly more than 1! Even more savings occur with more classes, so you can take Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop (4 hours) for a mere $125 per month! DACPAC at the Duluth Fall Festival ♥ September 14, 2007 — Just back from the Showbiz National Dance Competition in Daytona Beach, Florida, Dance Arts Centre's Performing Arts Company presented a few of their award-winning numbers at the Duluth Fall Festival on Saturday, September 29th. We hope you came by to catch "The Bird", "Cotton Club", "Tina", "Wound Up", "Should Be Dancin'", and "Never Love This Way Again". While at the Nationals, these outstanding dancers competed against hundreds of other groups, and won First Place overall for "Cotton Club", "Wound Up", and "The Bird", and a Choreography Award for "Cotton Club". All other groups you saw at the Festival placed in the top 10 for their category... not too shabby! Congratulations Dance Company 2007-08 ♥ August 29, 2007 — CONGRATULATIONS! Our 2007-08 Dance Arts Centre Performing Arts Company (DACPAC) is the LARGEST GROUP IN OUR HISTORY! With 80 outstanding boys and girls from age 5 through age 18, we will DOMINATE at competition this year! Lots of enthusiastic and talented new dancers have joined us, and we are ready to take it to the next level! Of course, our returning dancers are showing our new members what it takes to be the best! Congratulations to each and every one on being selected for DACPAC!
