Kelly Genn

Kelly began dancing at age 3 and that was it. At 6, she began dancing competitively and continued through high school. Dance Arts Center has been her home away from home since the age of 11 and could not be happier to now be teaching. After high school, she earned a BA in theater performance from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC appearing in many shows including Metamorphosis, as Miranda in The Tempest, and as Cordelia in King Lear. In her senior year, Kelly directed A Devil Inside which earned her a spot at Piccolo Spoleto (2008) during the Spoleto Art Festival in Charleston. In addition to theatre, she also began teaching class and choreographing contemporary dance for the Robert Ivey Ballet.

Kelly is married to her husband, Chase, and has two wonderful boys, Gavin and Roman. When she isn’t at the studio, she’s a stay home mom and pours more creativity into her blog, Gav + Ro. Performing and creating are her passions and she is so happy that she is able to share that with her students.
